At the beginning of this grief, I had to sit and wait for overwhelming feelings to pass. Now I’m getting more of these pauses, not waiting for something to pass, just resting mentally.

What I’m finding is that it is much less productive for me to chase feelings. Instead, I work with the feelings that come to me, and if there’s nothing pressing, I just wait… and rest.

I think I am mostly past the mountains, still in some valleys occasionally, but mostly these small irregularities keep me feeling a little unstable if I don’t pay attention.
