I’ve realized that there are times I have been in the boat, and others where I am able to pull someone else along. “I’m not sure where you’re heading, but we can do this part together.”

I am thankful for my family, friends and complete strangers who have compassionately helped me move along. I felt like I was just drifting, and didn’t even look up sometimes to see who was guiding the boat, or maybe just giving a nudge in the right direction.
I decided early on that these posts would not be “how-to” or even try to be inspirational. I realize now that they have become a place of affirmation for me. “Look at my grief, is it ok? Am I doing this right? Is this what it should look like?”
