I’ve realized that there are times I have been in the boat, and others where I am able to pull someone else along. “I’m not sure where you’re heading, but we can do this part together.”
Illustrations on how I am dealing with my own grief.

I’ve realized that there are times I have been in the boat, and others where I am able to pull someone else along. “I’m not sure where you’re heading, but we can do this part together.”

For me, spending time everyday facing and wrestling with the thoughts and feelings this grief creates has made a difference. It’s like adding oars to my boat, sometimes I still can’t beat the current, but they help me navigate it, and when the current isn’t flowing, I can move along at my own pace.

It’s like its own solar system. As I move further from it, the gravitational pull is less, but the impact still feels huge when it crosses paths with my sources of light. Total eclipse.
